Arrive in Harare and meet your Shungu Africa representative or pre-arranged transfer provider. Transfer to your selected hotel and settle in after your journey. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a relaxed introductory drive through parts of the capital or visit a local attraction if it is open and fits comfortably into the schedule. Your guide will introduce the journey and explain the cultural and historical themes explored over the coming days.

If time and opening hours allow, visit a local attraction or enjoy a relaxed introduction to Masvingo before dinner.

Day 3
Great Zimbabwe National Monument
Spend the day exploring Great Zimbabwe National Monument with a knowledgeable guide. Discover the remarkable stone walls, enclosures, and hilltop structures of this historic settlement, and learn about its development, leadership, craftsmanship, and connections to regional and long-distance trade. The pace of the visit can be adjusted to suit the group, although some paths and stone surfaces may be uneven or steep. Visit a museum or interpretation area where available, then return to Masvingo for the evening.

Masvingo to Mutare
Depart Masvingo after breakfast for the journey east towards Mutare. This is a substantial road-transfer day, so the itinerary should allow time for comfort stops, lunch, traffic, and road conditions. On arrival in Mutare, check in and enjoy a relaxed evening. If timing allows, your guide can introduce the city's setting near the Mozambique border and its role as a gateway to Zimbabwe's Eastern Highlands.

Visit selected attractions based on the accommodation base and confirmed route. Outdoor activities may be adjusted for weather, visibility, trail conditions, and travel time. Return to your selected accommodation in the Nyanga or wider Eastern Highlands area for the evening.
