Meet at the confirmed rest camp, gate or lodge collection point. Check in with the operator, confirm the departure arrangements and prepare for the drive. Early-morning departures may require guests to arrive before the park's regular gate-opening time.

Meet your field guide and receive a safety briefing covering seating, wildlife-viewing etiquette, photography and remaining inside the vehicle unless the guide authorises a designated stop.

Travel along approved park roads through suitable wildlife habitats. Your guide interprets animal tracks, vegetation and recent sightings while looking for species active in the area.

Pause at suitable viewing locations when wildlife is encountered. Search for elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelope and predators, depending on local conditions. The guide determines safe viewing distances and the route.

Explore additional roads or habitats as time allows, with opportunities for birdwatching and photography. Sightings and route choices depend on wildlife movement, traffic, weather and the scheduled return time.
